Zentangle @ the Library on March 3

Zentangle Workshop
Saturday, March 3 at 2 p.m.
Everyone welcome!

What'a Zentangle, you ask? It's like mindful doodling, or meditative drawing.  Zentangle art is non-representational and unplanned. It uses lines and curves and bubbles to fill in space.

Grab something to draw with and a piece of scrap paper or back of an envelope. Start by drawing a circle. Divide it into sections, like an orange, but with curvy lines. And the sections don't have to be equal. Now fill each section with a design - maybe bubbles, or tiny boxes. You've got the beginning of a zentangle.

The best thing about zentangles is that anybody can do them; No art experience required! So join the "mindful doodling" fun on the first Saturday in March. Bring your parents, your kids, your grandparents, and yourself.

Register by calling the library at 659-7258. Sponsored by the Books Program and Senator Akshar.
