You're Invited to a Party!

Fran Howe, who's been library director for a score of years or so, is retiring at the end of this year. To honor her service, and celebrate her retirement, the library is hosting a party - and you're invited.

Fran's Retirement Party will be Saturday, January 20, 2018 from 2 to 4 pm at the library. Drop in to share stories, partake of refreshments, and meet the new director, Marcia Enright.

Art @ the Library December 16 & 17

Take a break from the hectic holiday preparations and rediscover your artistic soul. This month Candor Free Library is hosting two art adventures for people of all ages.

On Saturday, December 16 the library hosts “Painting With Sandy” from 1:30 – 4 p.m. The workshop is geared for kids 9 and older and adults are welcome. This month’s theme will be painting a snow man, so come to the library, pick up a paintbrush, and splash color on canvas. On Sunday, December 17 the library hosts Art Splash! from 1-3 p.m. This month's focus is collage, so be ready to tear, cut, and glue to create cool artwork. The workshop is open to all ages from 8 to 108, though children under 12 will need to be accompanied by an adult. All you need to bring is $5 to cover materials.
