This week @ the Library ~ Write-in and Essential Oils

On Wednesday evening, February 20, the CaFeWriMo writers are hosting a Write-In from 6 - 8 pm ~ weather permitting. Anyone who has a work in progress and is looking for some writing space amongst the stacks is welcome to come. Bring your own coffee (or tea). Chocolate provided. Thursday evening, February 21, Jules is hosting an Essential Oils workshop at 7 pm. This month's focus:  the ways that essential oils can be used to take care of your health in a natural way. Participants can make their own headache and cold remedies, immune system supporters, and a sleep and calming blend. There is a $5 supply fee for each blend you plan to make and take. February Arts Happenings @ the Library

Writers! Painters! Artists of all kinds! This is the month to escape Cabin Fever and express yourselves. We've got three FREE programs happening. All you have to provide is your creative energy!

Working on a novel? Then join fellow scribes for CaFeWriMo "Write-ins" on Wednesdays.  During February, the back table will be reserved for CaFeWriMo writers. Of course, writers are invited to hang out at the library any time it's open. Write-ins will happen at these times:

  • Wed. Feb 6  from 6-8 p.m.
  • Wed. Feb 13 from noon-2 p.m.
  • Wed. Feb 20 from 6-8 p.m.
  • Wed. Feb 27 from noon-2 p.m.

Want to splash paint on canvas? Then come down and Paint with Sandy on Saturday, February 9. This month she's focusing on Valentines as a theme. Class begins at 1:30 pm and is suitable for emerging artists aged 8 to 80. Space is limited, so sign up by calling the Library at 659-7258.

Want to try mosaic art? Then make your way to the library for the next ArtSplash! class with Johanna on Sunday, Feb 17 from 1-3 pm. Class is  suitable for kids who can work independently, or have adult helpers. Ages 9 - 90! Space is limited so call 659-7375 to register.
