Featured Paintings @ the Library Gallery
We have a new exhibit in our gallery: paintings by Rose Bish. Not only does she have an amazing doll collection (see the new dolls in the case) but she wields a mean brush.
Next time you're checking out books, wander over to check out Rose's beautiful artwork. And if you don't need any books, come by anyway for the art!

Check out an Empire Pass from the Library
Got an itch to travel but not a lot of dough to spend on State Park entry fees?
Don't worry - Candor Free Library has you covered.
This year you can check out an Empire Pass for a week. The pass allows free park entry to one carload of friends and family.
Where can you go? Check out this list of state parks. (For more information about park and historic site fees and hours, including when fees are charged, please contact the facility directly.)
What are you waiting for? Check out the pass, gas the car, and pack a lunch. Go. Explore. See cool things. Have fun.
Then return the pass so another family can enjoy it.

Legos! Zen! Art!
The Lego Club meets every Tuesday evening for a couple hours of engineering-thinking. Last week the kids designed and built marble mazes. There's a garden maze, a food stand, some bridge and underground mazes. Drop by to check them out! Lego club meets at 5 pm, but Fran says late-arrivals are welcome to join in. Free.*
