Summer Family Story Time

Please join us tomorrow for “ Families” story time. We have books, finger plays, songs ( led by Miss Trish) and a free take home craft bag related to our stories.
Bring your lawn chairs or blankets … set up around 10 and we will start at 10:15.

Next week, August 3, the theme is  "Things that go" with stories about school buses and fire trucks . Then it's off to the Candor Fire Department to see the equipment, meet the volunteer firefighters and see those big red trucks! We will “ take the show on the road” around 10:45

On August 10 our theme is "Things that Grow'" -  and Candor author, Sue Heavenrich will share her new book, 13 Ways to Eat a Fly. She may even sing a song about eating flies with Miss Trish. If you own a copy of her book, she'll be happy to autograph it . Mrs. Collier will have a few copies to sell next week.

Summer Reading Programs @ the Library

Summer Reading is here! The program is open to readers of all ages – from “just beginning” through high school. Read books, take home weekly prizes, and enter the end-of-summer drawing for a gift certificate to Barnes & Noble. Readers 12 years and older can choose to enter a drawing for one of four $10 Dollar General gift cards; check library for how to enter.

Adopt an animal! This summer, not only do readers get to take home a free book, but they can adopt a stuffed animal to be their reading buddy.

Summer Story Hour
will happen on Tuesdays at 10:15 am, beginning July 20 with Deb Collier. Children of all ages, from birth on up, are invited.

Tanglewood Nature Center
will be here on Friday, July 9, at 2 pm with Hank the red-tailed hawk and three other animals for you to meet.

Moreland the Magician does his awesome magic show on Saturday, July 24, at 10:30 am.
