Legos! Zen! Art!

The Lego Club meets every Tuesday evening for a couple hours of engineering-thinking. Last week the kids designed and built marble mazes. There's a garden maze, a food stand, some bridge and underground mazes. Drop by to check them out! Lego club meets at 5 pm, but Fran says late-arrivals are welcome to join in. Free.*

If you are looking for a moment of Zen, drop by on Saturday, May 12 for a couple hours of zentangles. This month Fran is exploring COLOR. It's a relaxing, meditative drawing activity that helps connect both sides of the brain. Plus you end up with some cool designs. Fran has been drawing zentangles for years, and is sharing her love and talent with anyone who wants to learn. All you need to bring is yourself; supplies are provided. Free.*

On Sunday, May 20, drop in for ArtSplash! The medium of art this month is sculpey clay, a polymer that is smooth and can be oven-baked. Johanna is a local artist who loves introducing children and adults to a diversity of media through which to explore art. $5 fee covers materials.

*Free workshops are made possible by the Books Program and Senator Akshar.
