Escape cabin fever and rediscover your artistic soul at Candor Free Library. This month it’s all about painting and color.

See more Wayne Thiebaud paintings here
ArtSplash! happens on Sunday, February 18 from 1-3 p.m. This month’s project will be inspired by the artist Wayne Thiebaud, known for his paintings of cakes and bright, happy landscapes.

“We’ll be painting in large format with lots of acrylic paint,” says local artist Johanna Husband who is leading the workshop. “It should be messy and fun and bold—and a colorful break from winter!”

ArtSplash! is open to all ages from 8 to 108, though children under 12 will need to be accompanied by an adult.  There is a $5 fee to cover materials. To register, call 607-659-7375 or contact the library. Art Splash! happens on the third Sunday of every month, and each month you get to explore a different artistic medium, from paints to paper art.
