Engineering and art @ the library

Lots of opportunities for Engineering, Art, and Creative Making at the library. To make sure you have a seat in the workshops, Please Register by calling the library at 659-7258.

Join us to Make Things That Fly on Saturday, March 31 from 1-3 pm. Design and test-fly paper helicopters, zoomers, and airplanes.We'll discover the secrets of paper aerodynamics. This workshop is aimed for kids from 7 to 107 and is free (funded through the BOOKS Program and Fred Akshar). 


 Play with Zentangles in the Round on Saturday, April 7 at 2 pm. No experience necessary! Fran will lead this zen-doodling workshop that focuses on drawing mandalas - or zentangles in a circle. All ages are welcome and the workshop is free,
sponsored by the BOOKS Program and Senator Akshar.

 Tired of snow? Dreaming of Spring? Then head on down to the library and Paint with Sandy on Sunday, April 8 from 1:30 to 3:30 pm. Class size is limited to 14, and is suited for ages 9 and older. Materials are provided and the class is free, sponsored by the BOOKS Program and Senator Akshar.

Also - remember that Story Hour is still happening on Tuesday mornings, and the Write Now writers meet on the first Wednesday of the month at 10 am. Plus there's Lego Club for emerging engineers and electronics kits and more at the Maker Space at the back table.
