Fall Book Sale October 5, 6, 7

This post has been edited to reflect that there will be no bag sale this time. Instead, plan to be pleasantly surprised that you choose how much to pay for all the delightful reading you'll stock up on.

The annual Fall Festival Book Sale happens in just two weeks, starting Thursday, October 5 and going through Saturday, October 7. The Friends of the Library have been hauling boxes and bags of book donations downstairs and organizing the books. Already the shelves are overflowing and there are still boxes and boxes of books.

This is Great News if you are looking to stock up on winter reading at basement-level prices. There are histories and mysteries, sci-fi and romance, books about cooking and travel and pets, picture books and teen reads. If you're homeschooling, this is the place to fill your books bags without breaking the bank. There's always a great selection of nonfiction, from dictionaries to maps, biographies to animals, gardening, and even some books aimed at educators. There are usually DVDs and CDs.

  Fall Book Sale hours are:
        Thursday, October 6 - from 10 am - 6 pm
        Friday, October 7 - from 10 am - 6 pm
        Saturday, October 10 - from 10 am - 4 pm
Bag Sale Saturday, from 2-4 pm, $2/bag
There's a Bake Sale on Saturday starting at 10 am and ending when everything is gone. Come early because people line up for the pies.
